Nerd Night: A Short Take on American Cinema

In photography there are stills and there are movies. Moving pictures are almost hypnotic in their ability to hold our attention and American motion pictures have mesmerized the world. Follow film from its silent origins through the talkies. Billie Burke, pictured here on a collectable cigarette silk of the time, made it from Broadway to silent films and lasted through talkies. Most of us remember her only as Glenda the Good Witch in The Wizard of Oz.
