It’s said that “fads become trends and trends become fashions that sink down into the many-layered cake of custom.” One of the exciting points in this process is the design drawings that express the ideas so that they can be rendered into fabric. The Theatre of Memory Fashion Archive is really worth a look! See those original drawings and paintings from the last century or so, up close and personal.
