Nerd Night: The War to End all Wars
Now that the Veteran’s Day mattress sales have subsided, we take a closer look at ”the great war” from those who were there, through historical manuscripts and documents of the time.
Time & Location
Nov 13, 2024, 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM
Theatre of Memory Museum, 1705 NW 6th St, Gainesville, FL 32609, USA
About the event
WWI was seven times as destructive as all wars that had preceded it in recorded history. It was billed as the war to end all wars and was largely fueled by propaganda. Archduke Ferdinand’s assassination was just the proximate cause. Pictured here is an officer's cap made from an artillery shell during long months in the trenches. Nerd Night is free and open to the public at the Theatre of Memory, but Please RSVP at theatreofmemory.org under EVENTS so we can save you a seat at the table.
