The Newcombs

While Larry honed his guitar chops and compositional skills in New York City for decades, his son Jake grew up in here in Gainesville playing the bass. His solid-as-a-rock mode alone would have put him in demand, but his lyricism makes each gig with Jake a joy. Since Larry’s return, the two have played to rave audiences in and around town. Their musical rapport is in their shared love of jazz, but more importantly, it’s in their blood.
